Thailand
Thailand was the 1st country I visited on my Southeast Asian Adventure. I was fortunate to have friends who are from Bangkok and could show me the ropes immediately upon stepping off the plane. I'll never forget that 1st morning I woke up in my hostel and stepped out onto the streets of Bangkok ready to explore. It's actually more of a feeling than a visual memory. I was in awe of literally everything. Thailand was a completely new ball game and I was 100% out of my comfort zone. It had been 9 years since I had planned a trip like this and when I say planned I use that word as lightly as possible. I planned this trip on a whim, I had a rough idea of what I wanted to see and where I wanted to go, and my ultimate goal was to get off the beaten path and really immerse myself in each and every culture. It was go time and I was ready. Little did I know I was about to have the most amazing 7 months of my entire life.
